Motivation and the Six “F”s – Organizational Culture

### Preamble ###
The Six Fs do not appear to have been written by their author, [Adam Bosworth](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Bosworth). There are at least two blog mentions by
[Roger Weber](http://rogerweber.blogspot.com/2007/08/five-fs-don_19.html) and [Brian Acker](http://krow.livejournal.com/413808.html).

### Introduction ###
The six Fs are __fame__, __family__, __force__, __fortune__, __freedom__ and __fun__. The notion is that an organization should pick two of these as the priority of the organizational members, and recruit on that basis. Ask yourself which two of the six Fs are your primary motivators?

### Fame ###
* Become known and recognized by peers and strangers

### Family ###
* Relationships outside of work, aka time and flexibility

### Force ###
* Be a force in the world, power to change things

### Fortune ###
* Money, money, money

### Freedom ###
* Ability to choose and shape your work

### Fun ###
* How much enjoyment that can be had in your work

### Question ###
Which two of these Fs motivate your work?
